Maxon Effects Pedals – Where Overdrive Began

Maxon Effects Pedals – Where Overdrive Began

Founded in 1965, Maxon is a Japanese effects pedal company that continues to be relevant in the modern era.

They first manufactured pickups for the Greco brand guitars, then in ’69, they created a fuzz-wah that was marketed under various different brand names including Ibanez.

A few years later, Maxon designed and manufactured the game-changing TS808 and TS9 Tube Screamers for Ibanez and that remains their most legendary accomplishment.

Current Maxon pedals include reissues of those classic overdrive circuits along with modern versions of their bucket-brigade delays, analog choruses, flangers and high-gain distortions.

All designed and built in Japan with studio-quality audio and build quality in the forefront. #Madeinjapan#Maxon#9series#od9#sd9#mij#tubescreamers#georgetownmusic#georgetown_music#effectspedals
