1 Year At the Burien Space!

1 Year At the Burien Space!

1 year ago, my partner and I made a tough decision, to keep Georgetown Music going in Burien. It seemed kind of crazy at the time, considering the state of the world last year, but we’re glad we did. We were fortunate to find this place we’re in now. June and July 2020 were long and tiring but the doors opened in late July.

We miss our friends and community. We’ll always feel an attachment to the old neighborhood. It was awesome being a part of Georgetown’s network for 10 years. Fun watching it grow and catch on.

It’s the same old story though. The Story of a City. The cheap rents bring the artists, misfits and pioneers. They make a section of the city that was neglected a cool place to be. But it can only last at that stage for a short time, before things begin to change again. So here’s to new beginnings.

I want to say thank you. Thank you for sticking with us and bringing us new business. It’s been an exhausting year for so many reasons but now things are starting to ease up for most northwesterners. Let’s support eachother and find a way out of this mess. -Brent
